Our mission is to employ the principles of community policing, respect for all people, and reverence for the law to ensure a safe and enjoyable quality of life for the citizens and visitors of the Town of University Park.

We believe that police should maintain a relationship with the public that reflects the historic tradition: the police are the public, and the public are the police; the police are the only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties incumbent on every citizen in the interest of community welfare (Peel, 1829).
The University Park Police Department provides 24-hour proactive patrol with the primary objective of ensuring the general well-being and safety of all members of our community.
