More than 400 homes in University Park participate in the voluntary Compost Program.
Food scraps are collected at the curb every Monday, along with yard waste. The Town will supply new participants a countertop compost bin, a 35 gallon cart or a 5 gallon compost bucket, and a starter box of compostable bags.
View the list of acceptable compostable bags. Compostable bags may be purchased online or at nearly all local grocery retailers. The Town urges all participants to avoid using any bags that are not on the County's list.
