There will be no recycling pickup this Friday, June 9th.

The forecasted air quality index for tomorrow is expected to remain "unhealthy". This rating means that that health effects from inhaling the fine particulate airborne matter can be immediately felt by sensitive groups. Healthy individuals may experience difficulty breathing and throat irritation with prolonged exposure. As we are being encouraged to limit our outdoor activity, I've ordered the Public Works crew to only conduct indoor activities tomorrow.

I encourage each of you to remain indoors until this smoke clears, if possible, and to wear an N95 mask when outdoors.
