Council Meeting Monday, April 3rd

FY2024 Budget Introduction

The Council will meet this upcoming Monday evening, April 3rd, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom and phone dial-in. To attend the virtual meeting, please see the connection information at the bottom of this message.

The Council will consider four items in the next meeting:

- A Proclamation honoring former Mayor Harold Freeman for his many years of service to our community

- Appointment of a new Supervisor of Elections

- Adoption of four Police Department General Orders

- Introduction of the FY2024 Town Budget

I believe this budget embodies many of our shared values. It promotes our quality of life, beautifies our Town, protects the environment, enhances public safety, and significantly invests in Storm-Water Management infrastructure. In a time of historically high inflation, it also offers our residents some much-deserved financial relief with an actual tax cut.

Public Participation:
Participants who join the video/audio conference will be muted during the meeting except for Mayor, Council, and staff. Participants will have the opportunity to speak during Public Comment - agenda item #4. During that time, all participants will be taken off mute. If you would like to comment, please state your name and Mayor Biermann will call on you to speak. Public comments are generally limited to three minutes.

Public comments or questions may also be made by emailing the Town Clerk TC Hegeman at thegeman@upmd.org. All electronic comments must be submitted by 12PM on Monday, April 3rd, 2023. All public comments will be provided to the Mayor and Council prior to the Council meeting.
