Council Meeting This Monday

The Council will meet this Monday evening, May 3. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in open session, at which time the Council will move to go into closed session.
A closed session has been called to begin at 7:00 p.m. to discuss (i) the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation or performance evaluations of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction; or (ii) any other personnel matter that effects one or more specific individuals and to consult with Counsel to obtain legal advice. The open meeting will resume at 7:30 p.m.

Presentation: Anacostia Trails Heritage Area/Maryland Milestones -- Former Executive Director Aaron Marcavitch to introduce new Director Meagan Baco and they will provide an annual update.
Budget: The Council will continue to discuss and consider the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget for the Town, which is Legislative Resolution 20-O-02: Fiscal Year 2022 Budget

Consent Agenda - There are 3 items on the Consent Agenda:
- Install 54’ of 4’ fence in the side and rear yard and 24’ of 6’ fence in the rear yard at 6805 Pineway.
- Replace existing driveway at 4425 Underwood Street.
- Extend permit to repair front landing and two steps at 6706 40th Avenue.
Permits – To install a 4’ retaining wall at 6804 40th Avenue.

Introduction of Legislative Resolution-- To amend Personnel Manual by enacting Section 1.9 to authorize the Mayor to determine that certain vaccinations and inoculations are required of employees.
Budget Adjustments for fiscal year 2021 – As recommended by Town Treasurer.
Electric Vehicle Charging Station Grant Agreement -- To approve a grant agreement with Electric Vehicle Institute establishing a framework for EVI to provide electric vehicle charging infrastructure and service through the deployment of EVI Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations on a no-cost, turnkey basis.
