Neighbors –

Please see Police Chief Baker’s message below to University Park Police Officers regarding Halloween in the Town last evening, which was quiet.

Most notably, this Halloween was the final work shift here of Lt. Dan Enig, who went out of service over the radio for a final time, capping 43 years of public safety work. The final 10-7 call is an honored tradition to celebrate the close of a career. Lt. Enig is now on accumulated leave prior to his official retirement in late January. We will honor him appropriately for his 30 years in Town, the longest-serving officer in Town history.

Team,

Yesterday was a different Halloween celebration for University Park.  While the trick or treaters were few in number your visible presence made sure everyone who came out was safe. Last night was Lt. Enig’s final work shift.  At 2200 hrs., he announced his retirement and went 10-7 over Channel 1. It was nice to hear the County Dispatcher and our allied law enforcement partners salute and acknowledge his 43 years of committed public service.  Congratulations Lt. Enig on your retirement!

Excellent Work Team!

Chief Harvey R. Baker
