The community has celebrated Veterans Day in the past by gathering at the Veterans Memorial Park at 11 a.m. each November 11 to "honor all who served." Due to the pandemic, however, we need to celebrate Veterans Day virtually, rather than on-site at the park.
 
Council Member (Ward 1) Joel Biermann of Tuckerman Street, an Iraq War Veteran and an active Reservist, is seeking volunteers to help arrange COVID-safe Veterans Day observance this November 11 and could use some help.  If you can help out, will you please email Joel directly at jbiermann@upmd.org … or let me know and I'll pass your contact information on to Joel.
