High Wind Advisory in Effect - Collect Waste Containers

The Public Works Department asks that yard waste containers and compost buckets are collected as soon as possible and that trash carts are not placed at the curb during this time as we are under a high wind advisory until 6 p.m. tonight from the National Weather Service. Severe thunderstorms are possible with an increased threat of tornadoes. We may see sustained winds of 25-35 mph and gusts potentially exceeding 60 mph which could down trees and tree limbs, damaging electric equipment and causing outages to residents. Please take all precautions as this weather system moves through our area.
