I have released the Town operations and management study report completed by Municipal & Financial Services Group (consultants) and asked that it be made available through the Town website. This report will be presented and discussed at the May 6, 2019 Council Meeting.
At the beginning of the executive summary, the consultants write: " It should be noted that the study summarized by this report represents an analysis of the operations and management of the Town and was not undertaken by the Town to solely determine whether a Town Manager should be hired. However, the topic of Town management and whether to hire a Town Manager was clearly one of the factors for having a study of operations and management undertaken. In this report, we have documented findings and made recommendations as appropriate to address identified concerns and improve the level of service provided by the Town."
There is an excellent executive summary, but also a lot of useful information within. I encourage you to read the report fully for yourself and to come to the May 6 meeting where it will be presented and discussed.
