The Maryland National Capital Park Police Mounted Unit will join the University Park Police and elected officials in the Annual University Park 4th of July parade.
Children are also encouraged to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade.
The festivities will proceed in the following order:
10:00-10:45 a.m. Decorate Bikes (top of Queens Chapel Road)
10:45-10:55 a.m. Playing of the Star-Spangled Banner and comments from Mayor Biermann
11:00 a.m. Parade begins at the top of Queens Chapel Road and ends at the Town Field
11:15 a.m. Hand out ice cream at Town Field
These town roadways will be closed during the parade: Queens Chapel Road @ Clagett Rd (both sides); Queens Chapel Road @ Woodberry St; Queens Chapel Road @ Van Buren St (both sides); Queens Chapel Road @ Underwood St (both sides)
