On Saturday, October 26, a large group of volunteers gathered at the University Park Elementary School to plant trees. 24 trees were planted along Underwood Street, Van Buren Street, Woodberry Street, Queens Chapel Road, and Wells Parkway. The planting was organized by Public Works Director Mickey Beall and the Trees, Parks and Environment Committee. Contractors with the Town will plant an additional 55 trees in the next week, weather permitting. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who help to keep our Town green!
