The Town of University Park has directed Kimley-Horn to perform a traffic analysis that addresses
safety concerns at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue (US Route 1) and Sheridan Street. This
analysis investigated the feasibility of closing the west side of the Baltimore Avenue and Sheridan
Street intersection. This study is based on a field inventory of existing conditions, a sight distance
study, a review of crash data, traffic volume collection, the reassignment of traffic that would be
affected by the closure of the intersection, and the results of the traffic impact of the closure.
