Town Administrator David Deutsch is pleased to announce that T'Alicandra (TC) Hegeman has been appointed to serve as our next Town Clerk beginning Monday, November 22. Ms. Hegeman previously worked as Town Clerk for the Town of Cheverly and comes to us with 18 years of administrative and customer service experience in a variety of settings. She is a notary public, a member of the Maryland Municipal Clerks Association and is a Prince George's County resident.
Ms. Hegeman will take over the Town Clerk role from Ms. Marcavitch who has relocated to Connecticut after her husband received a new job opportunity. Ms. Marcavitch has worked for the Town for the last decade and has been an integral part of town operations. Ms. Marcavitch was involved in the Town Clerk interview process and is excited to welcome Ms. Hegeman to the staff. She writes, "TC has a positive and friendly presence with Town Clerk experience in issuing permits, using platforms such as CivicPlus and General Code and has experience with the legislative process and Maryland Public Information Act (MPIA) requests. She is a wonderful addition to our town staff." Ms. Marcavitch will continue to work for the Town for the next few weeks assisting in the transition.
