Meadow Restoration Weed and Seed-- Come join the cosmic battle against invasive weeds – and help secure Maryland biodiversity in our town. Please note NEW time to avoid rain.

LOCATION: The UP Pollinator Meadow is located at the intersection of Toledo and Adelphi - across from the Hyattsville Recreation Center.
Meadow Restoration -- It is time to restore our beautiful UP native pollinator meadow. The monthly work our town volunteers have done is paying off - the meadow is having a glorious year. We will also sow seeds!!
We will also work on removing invasives from the east side of the meadow with a focus on Lespedeza capitata (Roundhead Bush clover) and we will sow seeds on the west side. Toddlers are great at this with their parents' help!
See majestic Solidago canadensis (Canadian Goldenrod), the last of the Echinacea purpurea (Purple Coneflower), Chamaecrista fasciculata ( Partridge Pea), Rudbeckia hirta (Blackeyed Susan), Aster pilosus (Heath Aster) Solidago juncea, (Early Goldenrod) and more. Bring the kids, the grand kids. Bring the family!
BRING: Wear outdoor clothes and shoes, long sleeves and long pants for sure! Please tuck your pants into your socks. Wear gardening gloves. Bring a bucket if you have one handy. If you have scissors or clippers - please bring.
